Available as a power cat or this sailing version, the Sunreef 80 Eco is a multihull designed to take its owners sublimely into yachting future, while delivering all the luxury and space you could want today.

A flybridge design, in both power and sail models, the space on offer is incredible. The decks are vast, with full-beam aft and forward cockpits stretching across the yacht’s 11m (36ft) width. The aft deck leads out across the hydraulic swim platform, when raised creating a single level extension of deck that runs out over the water. The flybridge itself boasts impressive lounging areas, with big sunpads and a bar, capped by hardtop and sunroof.

The four-cabin interior and its main deck salon, take things to a new, superyacht-level on finish and luxury.  But even with all this space and luxury on offer, the real story is the Sunreef 80 Eco’s construction and performance.

Eco-tec
The yacht features revolutionary composite-integrated solar panels, the industry’s lightest and most efficient batteries as well as an energy-saving air conditioning system. The all-electric 80-footer is also able to generate green energy while under sail.
The Sunreef 80 Eco’s sail wardrobe includes a 200m² main sail, 155m² Genoa, 340m² gennaker and 70m² staysail. While under sail, the yacht produces green energy continuously, thanks to her advanced hydro-generation system, the propellers turning to create energy.
With the solar cells woven into that yacht, they can be incorporated almost everywhere above the waterline. The topsides, superstructure and mast all feature energy producing cells, with up to 32kW of power charging one of the world’s lightest and most efficient battery banks, custom-designed for the yacht. These 300kW batteries and the supporting solar and hydro systems power twin 160kW electric motors for smooth, silent running.

Away from actually driving the yacht along, air-con is the biggest energy consumer and usually a major headache for hybrid and electric vessels. The 80 Eco has a lot of space to keep cool, the answer to the issue of ensuring the Eco 80 ad its guests could enjoy round-the-clock climate control is a system that uses some 50% less energy. Additional twin 80kW generators are there to ensure everything is properly backed up.
Inside the Eco 80
The Sunreef 80 Eco can welcome up to eight guests in four cabins. The catamaran’s starboard hull houses an opulent and light-filled Owner’s stateroom, with two large hull windows, a walk-in dressing area, a pop-up TV, sofa and vanity desk.

The customisable layout also includes a large VIP cabin in the middle section of the portside hull with two identical guest cabins in the bow portion of each hull.

On the main deck, the yacht’s galley provides plenty of storage and social moments. Fully-equipped with restaurant-quality amenities, it is a place to gather with a large counter joining up with a central bar area that comes complete with a piano and pop-up TV.
